A successful business is a productive one. Being able to use your time efficiently to see great results on a daily basis is a sign of good productivity levels in any office.
Finding the right balance of intelligent and well thought out planning combined with highly focused efforts can feel like a challenge. But, with the right strategies in place, every day can be successful for your organisation.
Workers who have pre-defined goals, and pathways in place to reach them are far more satisfied and much more productive.

Focus - it’s easy to become distracted if you are trying to do too many things at once. Encourage your staff to complete one job well, before moving onto the next one. Whilst multi-tasking might sound like a clever thing to do, all too often it can be detrimental to the quality of your work and overall productivity levels.
Eliminate distractions - in line with being completely focused on one task at a time, try to take away any distractions. Keep mobile phone use to a minimum and keep internet browsing for down times in the day like breaks or the lunch period.
Plan your day - before you even arrive in the office, make a mental or physical plan of what you need to achieve before home time. Many people make to do lists - these are a great way to plan your day if you stick to them.
Set times for email replies - if you tend to find you are distracted by the constant pinging of your inbox, set specific times to deal with emails. Check your inbox only 2 -3 times a day and only deal with enquiries then.
Allocate task times - some jobs take longer than others, but if every job seems to stretch out forever, you could benefit from setting task times to limit the amount you spend on each job. Set a limit for each task and stick to it. You will find this helps you get more done everyday and that deadlines act as incentive to get work completed faster.
Take regular breaks - your productivity will definitely dip if you do not take regular breaks. Moving away from your desk gives you times to clear you head and improve your overall concentration.
Take advantage of your commute - if you have access to your work email, or an internet connection, you can use your commute to reply to emails, create your to do list for the day or plan some brainstorming.
Get proper rest - no matter how busy you are at work, going home and getting a good night sleep is vital to continue your productivity. Waking up before you have to also allows for time to mentally prepare for the day ahead.
Re-asses your own work/life balance - work is important sure, but so is getting away from it. If you spend too long working, your personal life as well as your mental health could suffer. Plan time to spend at the gym, out with friends, or at home with the family every day.
Finally, don’t forget to delegate - sometimes there just aren't enough hours in the day to get things done. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Stay productive by effectively delegating tasks to staff or co-workers who can help lighten the load to ensure heightened productivity throughout your workforce.
